Day 18 - Louisiana MO To Keokuk IA
Morning showers to upper 70's
It finally happened the rain caught us. After six days of threats of storms we got wet. The morning began with a light rain. Even our load was wet. With temperatures in the upper 60s rain jacket still came out, but not for long. Traditionally what keeps wet out, keeps us warm. (Too warm) We ride past some refrigeration caves, where even from the road you can feel temperatures drop. The flat count was up. If you are wondering. Not even brand new tires are immune. We had four of those. Crossing into Iowa for the night, we cross the Mississippi River for what I think is the 6th time.
